Been looking to replace my 10yr old Tundras' headlights (OEM stock). The issue I had w/these headlights is that the plugs were not connecting. Spent over an hour trying to connect the Low Beams/High Beams. The others, the Day Light Running lights & Parking lights, were easy enough with some effort to plug in. The actual connectors for the headlights just weren't connecting to the trucks wiring plugs. Then I noticed the new plugs prongs (MALE) inside didn't line-up with the Tundras plugs(FEMALE). So I got a screwdriver and bent the prongs wider to match the old plugs openings. FINALLY the lights lit up after connecting the plugs!!! I was ready to call/email Alpha Owls about a defective set. Once I checked the Low & High lights I began to reassemble the housing and be done...
NOPE. The lower bolt on the passenger side wasn't lining up. Had to drill a hole in the metal in order to secure the final bolt.
What should've taken ONE hour to install took THREE hours because the prongs/connectors weren't lining up and neither was an intake for a bolt at the bottom.
Hopefully this helps others. My struggle was real and maybe you'll bypass my difficulties installing these headlights. They work and look awesome in the end. Happy it worked out.
